Dick Mohatt
Date Post
September 28, 2007

Senior Special Agent Dick Mohatt of the Great Plains region is retiring September 30, 2007. The following is Dick's open letter to all his OIG friends.

To all my friends and acquaintances in OIG;

After forty one years with the government it is time to hook onto the 5th wheel and say Good-By. The last 21 years have been with OIG-I and I can say they have been the BEST, although the other years were very good also.

Before I officially retire on September 30, 2007, I wanted to make sure I did not forget anyone in my Good-By to OIG. It is hard leaving, but when it’s time to go, one needs to leave. It has been my fortune and privilege over the years to meet and work with so many good people in Investigations, Audit, and the Support Staff which will leave me with many good memories. I will always be able to look back at OIG as the best experience of my working career. Over the years I had the opportunity to work on all types of cases and with a diversified group of people, I can say without any reservation that I met very few people in OIG that I did not respect and feel comfortable working with. You all are a fine group of people and all citizens of this country can be proud to have civil servants like you working for them.

Good-by and thank you all.
